Today marks our last day of chemotherapy and I've been here for the last 7 months but today a new lady came in. An older black lady with a cute short hairdo, glasses and a voice that sounds like the grandma on Little Bill. She actually kind of looks like her, too! I was a bit surprised by her because the chemo room is usually pretty quiet because everyone is drugged up, haha...but she came in and was vocal and friendly. She was explaining to the nurse how she was scared to death of needles. After the nurses spiel about how she had to get iron in her body she said, "Okay, I know what I have to do so I'll do my best to let that fear go." Then, just like that she rolled up her sleeve to expose her fragile arm and let Melvin (yes, that's the nurse) find a vein.
So, bear with me as I tie her in. For the last couple months my sister and I have been talking about video blogging our date nights. Do things like suggest where we like to eat, new clubs and bars we visit and even where we shop! But, we're hesitant to start because of the fears that hunder us from being us...like do we have to look cute or should we just look the way we do everyday? Ha! Will places even let us take our video cameras in there? And who gets to be onscreen? We can't both be on if someone has to video tape. Anyway, the nice little old lady from today is old school she just does what she wants and wishes for the best. Therefore, we're going to roll with it! Stay tuned for our first video blog of the Bape and Itty Show!
Truly yours,
Bapie
